  • My Italian Villa, My very small studio apartment is an Itilian Villa which consists of the following sections: Library/study, cafe, office and a movie theatre with surround sound. The trick with tiny spaces is to decorate up, storage under the bed, decorate walls and ceilings. Change a few supporting items or decorations for each season to keep the apartment interesting but not the main focal point items. Have one main focal point or a few simple focal points on each wall. Always remember when it comes to small spaces, multi-use and less is more!, Other Spaces Design

  • Down sizing, This space is 540 square feet and it was in 3 separate rooms. I swapped the bedroom and the kitchen around and used the old entry way as the walk in closet off/for the new bedroom. Added vaulted ceilings, French doors in the living room and the window in the kitchen. Replaced the other windows and took out 3 walls to open it into one big space.
Added as many cabinets as I could for storage in the kitchen and bathroom. Took old drawers, put wheels on the bottom back side, to use for under the bed storage. For the old windows, I painted each a color from my palette and glued in stained glass for wall art. The bedroom is outlined by the canopy on the bed, the living room by the electric fireplace and the kitchen by the bar. The bathroom door is a French door that is hung on a double hinge for enlarging the bathroom door way if needed to remove the washer/dryer. A new hot water heater, water tank, wood stove and all high end appliances were added for extra value and comfort.
This spring a nice deck off the back with a breezeway , attached garage and a barn will be added to the property.
The kitchen has glass and stone back splash, old barn boards for the floor, recessed fridge, wall oven and dishwasher., Other Spaces Design

  • RENTAL ReSTYLE: OFFICE, Feeling a little home-sick for Florida while living here in AZ, I took our summer-time travel treasures + thrift finds and created an escape for our third level loft space. The third level of our rental home here in AZ was originally intended to be an office, with a farm style dining table I thrifted at Goodwill and refinished two-tone as the desk / work-table. I RePainted my thrift buffet from barn red to BM Old Navy and added blue accents, a few travel treasures, thrift finds, and two palm trees to help create this space I restyled for summer -- but we're keeping it as our little coastal escape while we are land-locked in the desert of the southwest. , Home Offices Design
