My all-in-one studio apartment space. My main room functions as a living/family/dining/bed-room and office. The room just under 15x15 and features 10 ft ceilings and incredible bay windows with plenty of gorgeous light!

We wanted a space-inspired room with a modern vibe that would grow with him. The jumping off point for the room was the Dwell Studio "Space" Bedding from Target and the Gumball Grenade "Set of 4 Space Prints" from Etsy. We LOVE how the room turned out. I think it's our favorite room in the house! :-

My husband and I bought a 1920's bungalow and remodeled our one and only bathroom on a $1500 budget. My style is modern with some glam touches and we wanted to meld that with the era the house was built. Most of the money went towards the window replacement, it was a wooden window and the sill was rotted and had mold growing in it. Yuck! We had the window and tile work contracted out and we did the rest of the updating ourselves. There was wood-trim all around the room, which was also removed and replaced with the black tile. We added honeycomb tile on the shower wall to bring it up to 60" for shower code and to go with the floor. The mirror on the medicine cabinet was made larger to opened up the space and add functionality. The floor and white subway tile are original and we chose a vanity instead of a pedestal sink (which would have been beautiful to add some much-needed storage. The color palette is reminiscent of the era but lends a modern feel.

So we finally took the plunge and remodeled our cute, retro-vintage kitchen. It was adorable before, I loved the vintage dinette set and hated to part with it but we really needed more storage and less table. By adding the 6' peninsula we have a breakfast bar that seats 3 grandkids perfectly. And I got a dishwasher...finally! All done by handy hubby and I on weekends over about 2 months for about $1600 including the D/W. We kept the cabinets and painted, added some new ones (stock, unfinished at Home Depot, added more white tile and a peninsula, new vinyl-plank wood-look floor, mosaic tile backsplash, stainless backsplash behind the stove, new cabinet hardware and oh yeah, knocked some of the wall out to open to the LR. We love it!

my own room in a appartment style dorm, the summer of my freshman year 99.9% of the decorations are hand made by me:, It was all based around the quilt I made at the begining of my senior year and i slowly bought things to match ( I tried not to be too matchy matchy. PINK is my favorite color but too many girls do pink and black in college and I wanted to be different so I choose a soft green.

This is my master bedroom with a California King size bed and vintage headboard upholstered in yellow vinyl. The built in side tables light up! Original Eero Aarnio Brandy Glass chairs provide seating for reading. The Yellow faced dressers are made of plastic and compliment the "Little Yellow Pills" art work on the wall behind the bed. There is a matching dog bed, but of course!

This is my 500 sq. ft. studio apartment decorated on a very small budget. With the exception of the bed all of the furniture was either given to me or purchased from thrift stores. I would love to add a divider but with the chair and end table where they are there just doesn't seem to be enough room. Thanks for your comments!! :-

It's about 450 square feet with an interesting layout. The kitchen is in the middle of the space and the rest of the space is in a U-shape. It is a perfect space for a struggling designer in Chicago.

Everything in my bachelor pad living room with the exception of the bookshelf and pillows came from a yard sale or thrift store. The sofa lamp table shag rug ur n papyrus reeds and ottoman all cost me a total of $100! The light bulb even came with the lamp! The oil painting in the hall was found in a pile of garbage on a city street in the heart of Philadelphia!

In this small one-room studio space the renter wanted to be "transported" to some far away place each time she stepped inside. From the Banaras silk throw pillows to the jewel tone color scheme this Indian/Moroccan-inspired design created an exotic hideway from the urban landscape of Washington DC.
