Welcome to our nursery. We are waiting to adopt our baby and wanted to have the nursery move-in ready for them. Since we don't know what the gender will be, I decided to choose more gender-neutral colors. I first found the bedding at Target and then had a friend help me pick the main colors from it. The stripes and circles wall was inspired by "Milo's room" here on Rate My Space! I still have a few things here and there I want to add but am really happy with how it's turned out. We're just waiting patiently for our bundle of joy. Thanks for looking!

A storage shed turned into a cozy cottage. I moved the lawn equipment and tools to the garage and converted the space into a relaxing place to listen to music and/or read a good book or write one of my own.

Here is what $1200 can do! ***Still a work in progress, but here's our story***
We remodeled two homes located over 200 miles apart at the time we started this kitchen remodel. BOTH were on a tight budget and with resale in mind, but we invested in some key elements. We transformed this builders' grade oak kitchen with standard vinyl flooring, into a vintage-inspired kitchen with a French twist.
Here are all of the elements:
* Cabinet refacing, using Rust-o-Leum Cabinet Transformations = $149.00
* Stenciled Backsplash, "Springtime in Paris" stencil from Royaldesignstudio.com = $100 stencil
* New Roman shade from SelectBlinds.com
* Drum light from Lumens.com by Elements, grasscloth $267
* Flooring from BestLaminate.net @ $1.99 sq. ft.
(In progress
* Butcher Block Island--IKEA butcher block in oak = $169 each.
We drove 150 miles each way for our butcher block, spliced them together + added a roomy 15" extension. (This added space for 3 more people! - a great entertainment addition!
* Corbels from Architectural Depot (supports for island = $74 ea x2
Some finishing touches are still being added, but we would love to know what you think!

It's Christmas Eve-Eve... today we waded thru the snow and cut our little tree in the big forest. It is simply decorated with old fashioned lights and sentimental ornaments. Many years ago I made the choo-choo tree skirt. Since our (RMS posted "Rocky Mtn Studio Condo" is too small for a "floor tree" this one is on an unused end of the breakfast bar. (Altho won't use the left side cooktop burners! Let it snow!

We recently moved to this studio and couldn't be happier with it. Living in a smaller space (in our case around 450 sq ft! forces you to constantly edit belongings. Every piece should be special and interesting. We also did the whole thing on a budget as usual! Most furniture cost less than $70 and most of the art was done by myself.

This is my studio apartment. Most of the items were found on Craigslist and many others from Cb2.com, and Ikea. I also made a couple of items like the headboard, silver wall designs, black drapes, and canvas painting. Hope you enjoy and thanks for looking!!

From all the advice from my previous space, I've set up a new space that I find very comfortable. Space was a huge challenge because I had to fit it all into one space, but here it is for more awesome advice from the rate my space community.
