  • Jude's Vintage Nursery, An economical ($1000!) nursery for our new baby Jude! Inspired by vintage, antique pieces that were spruced up, bold textures/patterns, and a taste of a winter woodland theme, this nursery was done on a budget and many of the projects were created by us. Accessories, furniture recovering, fabric choices, wall hangings, etc. were DIY and very cheap!, Nurseries Design

  • Mod Cowboy Nursery, When I found out I was pregnant I had a million ideas for a girl's nursery but none for a boy! When I saw this boy bedding I got so excited and began to plan around the bedding. I painted the walls by matching the paint with the colors in the bedding. My husband had this old Mexican Revolution print on barn wood that matched the mood perfectly. , Nurseries Design

  • Rustic Red 1865, This is the living room of our Historic Old Stone home in Camp Verde built in 1865. Everything is original from the wood floors to the exposed stone wall on both sides of the fireplace which I built from a wood burning metal insert and double walled pipe connected to the original stone chimneywhich I bought at a garage sale for $50 and used a few studs, cement fireboard and sheetrock to make a very inexpensive and nice looking fireplace that was added in lieu of the old Pot belly stove that didn't do the job of warming up the house nor adding ambiance. This is my favorite room where we relax on our old leather couch with a good fire going a book and my roudy Airedale Scarlett., Living Rooms Design

  • Natural materials are more comfortable, This is my home office/studio at the north end of the house. I knew I’d spend a LOT of time in this space, so again I chose my favorite color: WOOD. The natural materials feel warm and inviting, both day and night. Another “bump-out” helps the space feels larger than it is., Home Offices Design

  • Living Room - Adding mod elements to a tradional space adds style and interest, This house was mid-construction when it was purchased. This large living room is on the 2nd floor of this 4 story home and opens to a large foyer with a bar, as well as to the Dining Room. There are two pairs of French doors going out to a balcony on the front of the house and I mimicked their shape using arched mirrors above the custom cabinetry flanking the fireplace. Although the space has some very classical elements including detailed moldings and casings, I also mixed in some modern elements to make this a comfortable space for everyone.

3/4" x 5" oak hardwood planks were used for the floor in this room and floor was stained and finished on-site.

Wall color is SW 7221 Dormer Brown by Sherwin-Williams., Living Rooms Design

  • My art studio and library, I am still working on this space but this is how it looks right now. Some of you asked to see more of my house so here is the next room. I am an artist and this is where I work. It is in the oldest part of the house and it was originally built in 1750 or 1760. It has not been finished so I will call this "before". • Santa Fe Yellow, This is the Living / Greatroom of a Santa Fe style custom home I designed in Sedona, AZ for some dear friends. When you think of wall color many times people will go with the basic white because it is light and is easy to do. Well! take a look at this room done with yellow. I believe this shows that you can be creative with bright colors and still come out with a finish that is not too overbearing or distasteful. Note the large Flagstone Fireplace mantel pieces with the lichen growing on them, paired with the leather furniture native rugs and pottery and heart pine floors you get a lot of warmth and some rusticity without being too overly rustic. I myself was surprised with the end result, it truly worked out well I believe. What do you think?, Living Rooms Design
