  • Fresh redo, My 1935 house basement bathroom had warped wood floors, weird sink, but a full bathtub. I re-tiled with ceramic, did a textured paint to hide the cracked plaster walls and added a marimekko shower curtain, Murano glass light fixture, acacia wood mirror. • Clean and Warm Modern, The wall art cost $50 for the print and canvas was easy! The bedding is inviting and will never go out of style. The room has classical mouldings and dramatic height so I enjoyed not adding too much embellisment. The Louis 16th style chair adds a touch of vintage, Bedrooms Design

  • Low budget kitchen makeover, We moved into my grandmother's house after she died 2 years ago and HAD to redo EVERYTHING. We didn't have much money so we saved the existing cabinet boxes and made new doors in a more modern style and painted everything white. We saved $800 by doing the laminate countertop ourselves! We still plan on getting new flooring (wood) and getting a new cabinet over the stove so the microwave fits!, Kitchens Design

  • kitsch n kitchen, This is the kitchen/pantry in our 1917 two-family house. No cabinets (save the 50's sink and the ikea stuff we added out of desperation), original linoleum, ugly appliances and left over hospital green paint from the previous owners. We love our pantry (would like to remove the paint & restore.) Someday we'd love to find a better design and renovate (sparing our beloved pantry.), Kitchens Design

  • Contemporary Bathroom Renovation (Please Rate/Leave Feedback!!!!), This is our SMALL master bathroom that we were able to renovate for less than $1,000. We laid the slate tile ourselves to replace the 13 year old vinyl floor. We took out the original single sink oak cabinet and replaced it with open ones from Home Depot. Then we replaced all the oak trim with bigger white baseboard and trim. We also added double doors to hide the laundry closet that was originally exposed., Bathrooms Design

  • It makes us smile! , We are recent college graduates and have lived in this apartment for eight months. We started with very little and have slowly made this space ours. With two large windows the Miami sun and color we are quite happy with the way things have turned out!! Being on a budget really makes you utilize what resources you have and makes you think a bit! A few things were made by us others such as the chairs found on the side of the road!! Thanks for stopping by! , Bedrooms Design

  • Tiny Upstairs Bathroom for Twin Boys!, This is our twin 8-year-old boys' bathroom. It is TINY!!!! We used 12x18 inch slate tiles and horizontal stripes to make it feel larger. I am still working on it and plan to add some bright green to give it some color. I am also in the process of re-finishing the builder's grade vanity and mirror, so that's why they're not pictured! They are awful!!! My "wall words" are stickers....super CHEAP AND EASY!!! I am a bit addicted to them :). I got them on ebay from "The Sticker Hut" and "Here's Your Vinyl Signs", which is also where I got the words for my kitchen., Bathrooms Design

  • A desperate space, We just moved into a new house and all our furniture is hand me downs which I am grateful for but I have moved on! I am also a new mom and trying to keep a handle on all the baby gear that ends up all over the place. I love everything having it own place, my husband is king of making piles. So I need seating for entertaining, storage for baby stuff and a place for all my books. , Living Rooms Design

  • Simple Room for Sam, We wanted a clutter free, clean place for Sam to play and sleep. The room is already very small, so we wanted to maximize the floor. The room is also challenging for furniture as there are two closets on kiddy-korner walls, and two low windows. The Danish bed has a trundle for sleepovers. Marimekko fabric on the wall and an ikea dresser finish it out. The rug is colorful wool from Crate&Barrel., Boys' Rooms Design
