  • Blessed I Am, I asked for help (generally complaining) on a recent post for more Spring color in my garden. On Mother's Day my Grandmother who raised me became ill. She taught me everything I know about gardening. Upon learning Mom is going to be Ok, I walked outside and saw the beauty I'd been overlooking.   • Vintage Rustic Freestyled, I listened to all yalls comments about leaving my windows alone, so instead I just rearranged what I had. Thanks so much because now I'm truly happy with it, and it did not cost me an extra dime. Which is always really nice.   • Rustic bathroom, I created a full bathroom for my log home by expanding what was originally ' a half bath located in a small 3' x 7' space.   • Rustic outdoor living & kitchen, Our new outdoor kitchen/living area measures 20 ft. x 30 ft. and we tried to achieve a lodge resort feel. The space includes stamped concrete and natural elements of wood & stone which reflect the rural setting of our home - we love the massive cedar beams & posts. We were able to contain costs by doing some of the work ourselves. On the dining countertop, we put porcelain tile that looks like slate, and my husband made the custom drawer pulls from deer antlers - an interesting design feature. The outdoor room is very tranquil, and we're now spending a lot of time outdoors!, Patios & Decks Design
