About This Space

living room/music studio. This is where I teach violin. The Ethan Allen love seats were given to me by my parents as hand me downs, and I never got around to replacing them. The wall paper was my attempt at coordinating with the rather plain looking love seats, and creating kind of an English cottage look. I might be ready for a complete makeover. The pink carpet is stained and needs to go.

Peg, if you are not sure about being ready for a whole room makeover, then maybe just get the BEAUTIFUL LOVESEATS re-covered. They don't need to be done in a plain, from you patch working, you know that all fabrics go together if they are in the same color family, you could have a plaid or a stripe or both. I too think the room is WARM AND INVITING and LOVE seeing craft all around.

UK2US..I know it's not a real English cottage look, just sort of an impression. I love the pictures in the English cottage magazines, though. The wallpaper reminds me of a garden and I chose it because the plain blue love seats that were given to me looked lost against the white walls we had at the time. The room has been this way for about 20 years, and I'm wondering if I'm ready for a change.

wow, morningglory, thanks for the nice comments. Sometimes it's nice to see your room through someone else's eyes. I really enjoy quilting, and crocheting and like to decorate with lots of color.

i adore what you've done in here........this look is what i'm aiming for in our new home.......i love your wallpaper, how it looks with the frenchdoors, baywindow and behind the piano...........our piano is at his mom's, an antique upright, i've yet to see how huge it's going to be on the livingroom wall........and your piano is GORGEOUS!........i bet your home is a joy to the ear with all your musical talents.......i love violin and piano, only play the piano though.......take care......love your spaces......your quilt in your guest room is amazing.
