what blondepegasus suggested would def work. or you can add ladder style shelving on the sides. once place some cool things on them you won't need anything for the wall

If it's in the budget, I would consider a new taller, wider entertainment unit with shelving for display. Something more solid would also help to hide your cords. If you just hang a piece of art over the existing tv, it needs to be one large scale piece only. Your other walls are adorned with multiple pieces so you don't want things to become too busy. Since mostly everything else on the walls consists of framed pieces, you might consider a dimensional wall sculpture of some kind for the tv wall.
