Just a note on Table and chairs, this room is a family room. There are separate formal dining and kitchen areas in the house. In the completed room, there IS artwork on the walls. Thank you all for your feedback!

Have you thought about painting in the interiors of the ceiling panels your wall color.? It would give you a major coffered ceiling look.

This room is gorgeous! What a great way to make 2 small windows make sense. Perhaps, so that the wall space behind the shelving unit doesn't feel like just a continuation of the ceiling color I may would have elected to paint every other or at least 1/3 of the background the darker color. I love that you didn't clutter the shelves. The eye has places to rest. I think I would adjust the sofas to be centered on the wall space where they are, they appear to be right against the shelving unit. The area rug unites both the light & dark colors. Glad to know you now have something hung above the mantel. I'm sure you are waiting to find just the right art pieces for above the sofas.

You are right. These photos were taken before the huge family portrait went up over the FP, and the black and white collages on the walls!

I liked this space and the fabric on the chairs. I think the room looks incomplete needs artwork on the walls.

This is a stunning room! Love the wall color, space planning, etc. I think I would paint that air return the wall color to make it blend.
