This was my entry as part of Bloomingdale's "Big Window Challenge" here in NYC. The task was to create a room for a fictional client, while demonstrating our take on small-space living. The space had to include seating and dining areas, and all major furnishings and accessories had to come from Bloomingdale's newly refreshed "Furniture on 5."

Family Room, Our home is an 1879 Victorian. This room is the family gathering room. We can never arrive at a satisfactory furniture arrangement. We have replaced sofas, recliners, etc. six times. We have replaced coffee tables 3 times. We have replaced lamps, lamp stands...everything in this room and we just can't get happy about the furniture arrangements. Any suggestions???? Help! Fireplace re-do do-over, We decided to update the ugly red brick fireplace in our den, but not thrilled with the color choice. I wanted it to blend in with the walls a bit and not absorb light.
