Paint the wall facing the kitchen an accent color. Move sofa facing fireplace, same angle. Chair would sit where the pole light is.

If you chose Enterntainment Center - I would choose something oversized. A larger piece in a smaller space adds scale - and will actually make room appear larger. Add sculptural piece in recesses around FP? Would definitely put the one lone art piece for now, on same wall as the smaller sofa-chair, with some type of credenza on left of FP, with interesting - beautiful lamp? Please do let us know. I do think, painting these three angled spaces, to make the wall appear recessed would be a good place to start. Looking forward to the finished product. Enjoy. :-

This is where an "accent" wall works. To either foreshorten or deepen a room. To visually "recess" the angle in this corner, I would choose to paint this entire area a rich toned color to make the corners "disappear".
It will also deepen the visual perspective of this room. Not a "jump" out at you color like red. A deep toned "taupe" or something of the same color palette of your room? I would run my sofa at the same angle of the FP. And, I would also suggest a patterned area rug also run at the angle of the FP - lengthwise across this space? It will anchor this area. Maybe add a sofa table behind the sofa with some down lighting - a beautiful lamp. Pole lighting does not light your seating area, drawing the eye away from your space. Flat screen angled down a little is good idea.

i think put the EC on the big wall between the fireplace and the kithchin then put the big couch in front of the tv and then get a recliner and put it in the corner of the fireplace

I'm afraid lluvdec's suggestion would create a wind-tunnel effect from the front door so maybe try a small TV cabinet on the wall left of the FP. Angle the chair so it parallels the FP and keep the couch where it is. You could even add a cute bench or reading chair to the right of the FP to fill out the conversation area and have a TV view too.

I agree about putting an entertainment unit between the fireplace and kitchen. I'd move the loveseat across from the fireplace so the back of it forms a hallway towards the kitchen and have the chair where it is but further over towards the wall angled to the face the entertainment unit. Add a tall plant once you've rearranged the furniture.

unfortunately, adding an EC into this space will make furniture placement even more awkward and make the room even smaller. your best bet is to make the tv work....add a flat screen to fit in the cubby and angle it downward a bit...this makes for more comfortable viewing when the tv is too high. also consider placing the sofa, to float facing the FP on the same angle. place the loveseat to it's right to create an L-shape, and allowing space for a chair to be the wall to the left of the FP...a perfect conversational seating area. hang some not-too-dark large scaled art to bring some color and personality in, and from it, choose a not-too-dark accent color for some throw pillows and spare few large scaled accessories to tie a color scheme together. since there seems to be no windows in here, be sure to add ample table and floor lamps (no ceiling illuminating torchieres to ensure that the space stays bright. keep us posted! : loads of potential here!

try putting a entertainment center/tv unit on the wall where the art work is; align the lg sofa facing that wall. Put the love seat where the sofa is so you can enjoy both the tv & the fireplace from both seats. Bringing the arms of each sofa together at a right angle & placing a table & lamp between would help also. Now your living room has definition; not just a hallway but a destination. Do a vignette above fireplace; a lg plate on a plate stand; a vase w/ greenery; some candlesticks. Add an area rug & use the colors in it for guidance on pillows and accessories (a nice rust & drk green would be lovely w/ your wall color & leather seating.
