An unusually shaped room which accomodates our piano perfectly. Super sunny, with a fireplace we designed from scratch, combining typical Norwegian heat-producing characteristics with a more typical American/English look. Furniture in classic-revival, remaissance-revival, gothic-revival, and rococo-revival styles. Art is all oil paintings, 2 snow scenes by James Coe (living, a wide Norwegian landscape by Ludvig Munthe, smaller unsigned landscapes, and still-lifes by me (somewhat in the style of Raphaelle Peale, and framed in antique frames. Window treatments are a riff on American designs from ca. 1830.
