I live in an 11,000 unit middle-income development, in the middle of NYC, which is a rental. There are four or five layouts in the entire development, and the challenge is to make your home unique, as well as beautiful and comfortable. I think I have attained that, even if my living-room looks a little cluttered with all the things I love around in it (especially pictures of my children and grandchildren!. I have a 15' X 25' living-dining room which, by NYC standards, is tremendous. I have separated the spaces by two different shades of blue on the walls, a rug in the living room area, and a vast difference in furniture style. My living-room area is very traditional, while my dining area is deco-modern. I've lived in NYC all of my life, love it, and am very happy here, but even a "New Yorkophile" needs a refuge!
