Thanks, that's a great idea too. Yes, that's one of my project ideas I been considering lately, to buy the fabrics and recover the pillows with better colors. I will take in consideration some of your ideas. Unfortunately, this sectional is too large that will block the entrance door If I place it by the window, I'll probably have to separate the chaise and place facing the TV. I can have three parts of this sectional, but I don't like to separate as it shows the hooks. I'll have to probably put some right next to it so it won't look ugly.

P.S. It would be less costly to recover the pillows than to purchase new ones.

Is there any chance the sectional would fit by turning it where the long section is under the window with the chaise coming out toward the tv? If so, that sure would open up your living and dining area. If it were mine, I would even consider moving the chaise section to a bedroom, if space was available there. Colorful pillows and a large piece of colorful art would really add warmth and interest in the room. In my opinion, the most inviting combination is using shades of red, soft green, gold. I been browsing several decoration on that ecletic style...I think it is a neat style to mix and match. since this is a rental I can't really do much in terms of the wall color. Where the lamp is located there is a wide window. Right now I have a burgundy curtain there. I will definitely move my pc furniture upstairs as I have an empty location.

I'll see about getting rid of the tv cabinet you are right it's too big. I think the current lamps I have I'll have to get rid of those as well as they are too brownish. I want some cozy and not too serious. More ideas are welcome. Thanks

(con't Your dining set lighting may be to strong and you may need to add a lamp in each corner in the living room. The half glass door cuts up that wall. Put a light blocking blind on the window. The pillows on the sectional may be better switched out for one throw in one of your new bright colors and fold it very neatly over one arm. Can't wait to see the result!

Your fireplace and molding is traditional, dining set is arts and crafts, and sectional is casual. An eclectic look might work here only if you bring it all together with a bright blue, yellow, or turquoise wall. Bring those colors into a patterned curtain, rug, table centerpiece, etc. You need to be much more bold with your colors in this space. Put in the search box of HGTV.com "eclectic living room" and you'll see what I mean. The computer table/printer really doesn't fit in here. Either banish them to another room or sell the table and get one without a top section. This space is not big enough to take all that you have in it. Sell the coffee table and get modern acrylic one so it doesn't take up visual space. Get some quirky pieces in here for the eclectic look to work and also for some conversation starters. The tv console is too big. I know you have a budget, but see if you can sell it and get a low profile tv stand without a top part. Behind sectional put wall art grouping.
