Please, please help me! I am finding it IMPOSSIBLE to arrange the furniture in this tiny apartment living room with a very annoying corner fireplace. The couch does not fit against any wall, so it has to be floating out there. I tried putting it on the same angle, parallel to the fireplace, but found then that the TV had to go on the wall with the front door and didn't like sitting on an angle to watch tv (and I eat at my couch with a tv tray. Plus, that left no where to put my computer (and I hate my computer desk, but where else to put my computer?. In the following pics, it is still somewhat a work in progress, but I'm so frustrated with it.

I can understand your frustration. It is a tiny space with lots of openings. I have a couple of things for you to try. Maybe put your couch perpendicular to the window and place the tv on top of the little console where the fish tank is. Then get a narrow console/desk for the computer, keeping it on the same wall where it is now, or move it to the empty wall in the dining area or to the bedroom. Another option is more expensive. Since you don't use your dining room often, it's kinda wasted space. Maybe make your dining area a combination office/library/dining room. Google that and see what kinds of tables double as desks. You are very neat and tidy -- it could be switched quickly for company. A third option would be to get heavier curtains for the window, keep the curtains closed so it would seem like a solid wall, and keep the tv where it is. BTW - curtains should always go all the way to the floor. Good luck.
