i love the simplicity of this space. its very soothing with all the natural light. its contemporary but its not cold because of all the natural elements like the fireplace, the floor & all the accents. my only suggestion is that the rug is too traditional for the overall contemporary look of the room, so maybe change the rug; but the rug does match great, so if it makes YOU feel good, then keep it! but i have seen great circle pattern rugs like the one on your accent pillow on the brown chair that would look really great. also, maybe try the black chair next to the telescope facing the window? its a really serene room! enjoy!

5 stars from me! This room is sparse yet inviting. The fireplace is one of the most beautiful I have seen... the stone layout reminds me of sleek subway tiles. The branches (vs logs are unpredictable and interesting. Can't wait to see more of your rooms!

Great space planning. The sofa rocks! It is nice to know some people know how to float their furniture. A little too modern for my style BUT I love that it shows you have a personality and have varied interests and use what you love and not what the salesperson put together on the showroom floor. I can appreciate all of it except I think the rug is a bit small. Thanks for not covering up those great windows. Not all windows need treatments and these don't!Good Job. Keep up the good work!

I love those orange sofas. Did someone comment that the rug doesn't go with the room? I think it does. Nice room.

Of course I haven't sat in this room but I like the Eames lounger set back like that. You've got two zones one social and one private. Back there with the window the telescope and the (no doubt gorgeous view that's where I'd want to sit! This arrangement is unpredictable functional and hip.

Oh and I think the rug is great!
