Originally the master bedroom, this room now serves as our family room, junk room, and office. We hope to create a tribute to our beloved Kenya and a space actually usable for family fun and a genuine home office for our budding young writing business. We met and dated in Kenya where we were teaching at an American high school. We took our children to Kenya in 2007 and lived for a year working at the same school where we met. Now our children share our love of this beautiful African nation. We have literally hundreds of cultural pieces, artwork, indigenous crafts, and curios that we would like to incorporate into a Kenya-themed family room and office. We just don’t know how or even where to begin.

How fun to have met in Kenya, married, and then more recently, brought their family back to Kenya to work at the same place. They say they have all the artifacts/ decorations from Kenya, the country they love. I'd really like to see this happen. It would be very exciting to help them get this room together.

This would be an interesting and valuable makeover. I would love to see how this family could enjoy a functional room that enables them to reconnect with a part of their family history and legacy. Can't wait to see it happen!!
