I think your room looks fabulous! Personally, I don't want to have to "hunt" for the "accent" colors. Good design creates a mood and evokes emotion. Good design doesn't have to be "complex".

Heather, your room is gorgeous! Don't change a thing. I find it soothing and inviting. It's chic, yet comfortable, and that's a hard combination to achieve. Beautiful job!

Although i see where you're going....it just a bit much. Complexity in design comes from subtlety in composition. If you throw out every design trick, it comes off as contrived. The color tones in the accessories are just too similar...varying them, even slightly, would add much more to the overall aesthetic. I also think that when you can immediately spot what the "accent" colors are, that is a sign of more novice work. Make those viewing your space really look for the interesting details. If you throw everything in their face at once, there's no reason to take a closer look. Also consider bringing in some of the tones in the woven baskets besides your shelving. This will help break up all the chocolates in the room. Another observation: the light fixture you have suspended over the coffee table, though beautiful, doesn't work in such a vast vertical space. You need something that is more voluminous, with more visual weight. Your current fixture is lost in a sea of openess

I love all the pretty blue in this room. I'm a big fan of light blue in decorating. It's very cool, clean, peaceful, and airy. Good job!

You did an amazing job arranging the furniture in this room. I especially love the division you did with the curtain to add the home office area. I've seen Candace Olsen do this on her show, Divine Design. I also love the colors - the soft gray and aqua together with the bits of green. Just gorgeous!
