Thank you all for the comments and feedback. I have since made a few changes, I added a fireplace screen in front of the fireplace so it adds something to the empty space. I updated the mantel (I change it for holidays but after Christmas I re-arranged it with different items and it looks much better. I switched the floor lamps (put the lamp with the shade to the left of the fireplace and the torch lamp to the right I also made a wooden crate with rope handles and filled it with pillows and placed it with the lamp to the left of the fireplace. I also changed the socket covers back to white so they didn't stand out. I'll post some new pictures with the updates soon! I Thank you again for the feedback!!

What a transformation. Love the wainscot. I do agree with others in regards to the artwork. It is not the height but that they should be reversed. When hanging artwork it should HUG what is around it, hence the fireplace wall. Note that the butterflys in the pictures are "flying" away from each other. This small change will truly make a visual difference. I also feel that there is something missing near the fireplace. Not sure if adding a chair is the solution but try adding some simple fireplace tools, medium sized vase or a couple of stacked pillows to the left of the fireplace. Possibly a bit larger floral arrangement and the outlets should be painted over as they take away from that beautiful wainscoting.

I think the room is nearly perfect as it is, and I like the fireplace tiles being nearly the same color as the walls. I agree the outlets take away from the wainscoting. I once had a home with such paneling, and the outlets and other hardware were installed ABOVE the wainscoting and were almost invisible as a result. This is something a homeowner might keep in mind. Overall, this is such a beautiful room.

Beautiful job! Moldings of any sort make any space look more expensive! Love everything you've done....fireplace, wainscoting, colors, furnishings...works beautifully together! Five stars!!!

it looks great. what if you painted the center of the over mantle the color of the outside walls? and possibly painting the wall outlet white to blend in instead of stand out

I think the pair of prints should be hung together - and lower by a few inches as others have mentioned. The mirror over the fireplace is wonderful, but I don't think it's the right mirror for that spot. It's too tight in the vertical dimension.

I was thinking the exact same thing as a couple of your commentors; Lower the pictures a couple inches for sure, and a chair would look great to the left of the fireplace if there's room. Definitely lower the pics though. Beautiful job, 5 stars!
