I like this. I love designs that think outside of the box. The only thing I would say is this picture should be a full on and not sideways shot. so we can see the picture above the couch and pillows how they all tie together. That will get more views that way.

Need color/window treatment help, Ok so at first I was really loving my living room arrangement, and I still am, but the lack of color in the fireplace corner is bumming me out!! I'm thinking long panels?? I would just throw up some burgundy panels and call it good, BUT the problem with that, is that my dining room is burgundy, and if I do window treatments in the living room, I want to do the same ones in the dining room, because the windows in both rooms face the front of the house, and since the house is very symmetrical outside, it looks goofy from outside if the window treatments aren't the same. So, since plain burgundy won't work in the dining room, I need other suggestions. Brown, tan or white, with some burgundy in it, maybe?? Does everyone agree that long panels would look good?, Living Rooms Design

I went for it: Painted the fireplace surround black, This living room is longer than it is wide and I've tried every configuration possible. Finally, I decided to paint the fireplace black (it was white, as you can see in before photo) to make it stand out more. I think it makes the room look wider and it does a better job anchoring the seating area., Living Rooms Design

Bricks and more bricks..., This is our main living space. It is a small space, but cozy :) The main problem is the fireplace takes up so much room it seems to make the room seem even smaller.
