Reinvented living room space from dark builders beige to a lighter creamier grey/beige in order to give a lighter airier beach feel. Added bamboo Roman Shade and Ocean colored sheers to large picture window. Beach glass colored accents add to the beach vibe. Hand painted crab pillow and the sand and shell tic-tac-toe art for a little whimsical fun.

I have been working on the room and taken some good advice from everyone. Have changed some things and added another ship between the 2 existing ones behind the sofa. Everyone says my art etc is to high, let me explain- the room may look large nd open,probably because of the high ceiling. The truth be- the picture window wall is only 7 ft to the ceiling, so pictures are at eye level. At least I accomplished making it look higher than it is. Thanks for all great input and will be updating pics soon.

Lower the ships and pictures, as they are hung to high. As for two different themes, I live in a 150 year old fishing (shrimp boats village, ships and beach most definitely go together. We have working fishing boats and beach! Good job, love your creativity.

This room has such grrrreeaat creativity. I love the ship/sea theme. I think it would be neat to add some big lanterns or some kerosene lamps to give more additional magical lighting effects. Anyway, thanks for sharing :

There are parts of this room I really lie & others that you really could improve on with just a few suggestions. The biggest problem I see is you have 2 different beach looks going on. Nautical & beachy. The ships over the sofa should be the only thing hanging over the sofa & should be center & lowered. The small picture near the window is not centered & is to high. The cute table in the middle of the room is to small for the space it's in. I know you can't go out & buy new chairs but maybe a neutral throw would work better. And the ceiling is something I just don't like. I would have went with just a pale blue or white.
I do like the way you decorated the shelf under the TV, the table blinds & curtains.
