I would raise the rods to the halfway point between top and bottom windows and extend them further on each side, then hang a pair of straight panels to the floor on each door. When open, the panels would stack on the drywall rather than on the glass so the view and access aren't interrupted. I'd go with a patterned fabric of your liking since most everything else is solid. You should easily be able to find pre-made drapes at Penney's or somewhere similar. Measure for the length you'll need. They come pre-made in 95 inch and 108 inch lengths. Be sure the width is enough to adequately cover the doors when desired since that will be your only source of privacy and light control. Use grommets or ring clips. You should be able to dress both doors for around $200.00 if you use the existing rods. If you want/need to change those, expect to add $50-60.00 per rod. This will add drama and interest. I'd leave the top windows bare. It also looks like you might need to paint out the trim.

The drapery panels you have up now just blend in and really don't add any additional color. I would suggest patterned drapes with two panels at each window rather than just one on each end. I think you will be surprised at how much color and warmth they will add.

i'd LOVE to see you richen up the wall color! it would enhance the architecture and help the FP blend into the space better, and remove everything over the FP and add a large, fab piece of art or a great matted and framed art print instead. a mantle can so easily look cluttered. as for window treatments.....i would remount the rods at half way between sliders and triangled windows (a bit too wide and hang long straight side panels. seriously consider making panels from burlap...it comes in a variety of shades, is cheap off the bolt, is easy to work with, and will add a warm texture to the entire space! if the rods are set a bit on the wide side, the fabric will actually frame the view, not block it and is much more modern looking than valances. consider adding an area rug to define the main sitting area, add plenty of large scaled art and repost! this space has FAB potential!!!

What a great view. I understand the desire for window treatments to help complete the space but to cover up that view would be a shame. With that in mind, I would do just a valance. Bring in some of the colors from the rest of the room to tie it together but not cover up the view.
