  • My $17.00 kitchen makeover, We are renting right now and this kitchen was GROSS! I couldn't live with it. The dark cabinets and the green laminate counter tops had to go! If I had money (and owned the house) I would have done things granite, new appliances etc. But I did what I could to make it look better and it is all done with paint. Total project cost: $17.00., Kitchens Design

  • Modern Kitchen, Here's an updated version of my kitchen. I went ahead and added the sconces on the pendants... I found them for 10 bucks a piece! My kitchen itself is small however it's completely open to the living room/dining room so it makes it feel a lot larger and brighter. Plus it's also great for entertaining! Because the living room/dining room are so light and bright the darkness of the kitchen contrasts very nicely., Kitchens Design

  • Embedded Grapes on Range Hood w/Pastry Bag!, Client asked me to give range hood a change that would go with her wine & Grape themed kitchen. I troweled Joint Compound over most of the range hood.... then used a PASTRY BAG filled with Joint compound (watered down a bit) and piped on the grapes vines and leaves (formed using different pastry tips). Let dry overnight then basecoated (carefully around grapes) then did a quick faux finish over top. xoxo, Kitchens Design

  • FINALLY...A NEW KITCHEN, This is my 1945 California Bungelow kitchen/laundry room LONG overdue remodel. Before it had 18" deep counters, a pantry that stuck out into the room, bad lighting and was not open to any other part of the house. It was gutted down to the studs, opened the wall into the livingroom and now feels twice a big., Kitchens Design

  • Copper Quartzite Kitchen Backsplash, This is not my kitchen! I am a designer for a high end tile and carpet company. This is a project that I designed the backsplash for the builder and my husband (he was a tile installer at the time) installed it. The granite is Four Seasons and the backsplash is a slate called copper quartzite. There are handmade grape accents that are a beautiful red color., Kitchens Design

  • Modern / Industrial Kitchen Remodel, We started by painting the walls. After 3 attempts at trying to find the right color we finally settled on Benjamin Moore-Kingsport Gray. We moved on to painting the cabinets black and changing out the hardware with pulls we bought from Ebay Store "Hinges and More". We retrofit the kitchen sink cabinet to fit a new farmhouse sink. We added under cabinet and overhead lighting. We hired a fabricator to install the Giallo Beach granite we picked out for the countertop and the Bedrosian Ice Crackle MGICG2 Mosaic Glass tile backsplash. I ordered the island/table from the IKEA - Udden Console. By removing the backsplash on the console I was able to repurpose, what is meant to be a cabinet base, for additional workspace and seating., Kitchens Design

  • Artistic Modern Kitchen (Before and After), My new kitchen before and after! We ripped out the entire kitchen and replaced it with new cabinets backsplash lights and built-in table. We decided to go with a stationary island as out new breakfast table which includes storage. We added stone around the pantry and some above the cabinets. We had stainless doors made and placed them in strategic locations around the kitchen with glass cut in squares which mimics the backsplash. The golden granite has a chiseled edge. , Kitchens Design
