A total kitchen remodel using traditional, east coast elements with a splash of rock and roll. I was on a budget so these are Home Depot cabinets which I had professionally sprayed an alabaster white. The cabinet hardware is from Restoration Hardware. The countertops are Australian Black granite with a matte finish and the cooktop is from Jenn-Air. The backsplash is from Modwalls - stainless steel penny tile. The tile is 16x16 black slate which we cut in half and laid in a brick pattern. A lot of you have have inquired about the wine glass chandeliers; my friend makes them and sells them locally. It comes in 3 tiers or 4 tiers. If you are interested in one, please send an e-mail to bmiller@fullerproperties.com. Thanks for all of your comments and feedback!

Deserted stone cottage that we had watched for 25 years and it finally came on the market. When we bought it it had only been used as a weekend get away but it is our full time home. We renovated on a shoestring and our kitchen is our pride and joy, all for under 5K

After 2 years of looking in magazines, watching shows and thinking about what I really wanted, we finally did it. We did a complete kitchen remodel, and I love it! In my old kitchen there was not enough storage.....now I actually have more than I need! ( time to s-h-o-p !! My husband and I did all the design work, and painted ourselves. We hired workers to do the rest. The cabinets were custom made, and hand glazed. The gentlemen that did the work were true artists. The flooring is travertine, we used it in the main living space. The cabinets are done in ivory with a chocolate glaze, and the island and bar area is done in a chocolate brown color, with a black glaze. We used maple for the ivory cabinets, and cherry for the island and bar area. Everything was done custom....so I really got what I wanted. The drawers have the slow close feature. We have pull out spice racks, lazy susan in the corner, hidden trash cans, and lots of roll outs...woo-hoo! I love the hood a lot...even it has storage. We had all custom lighting done. Everything is on dimmers, and you can light up each area as you want. We added under cabinet lighting, and have puck lights put in the display cabinets, and the glass ones. I added beadboard to some areas, and I love it. We did an induction cooktop ( LOVE LOVE IT! 42 inch built in fridge, wall oven, warming drawer, and a microwave/high speed convection oven. ( all KitchenAid appliances I love having 2 ovens when we need it, but it's a microwave the rest of the time! We put a wine fridge in the bar area, and installed a new dishwasher. We put panels on everything that we could...I love that look! I wanted the appliances to blend in. Our backsplash is stone and glass...we still have one more thing to add to the area under the hood. I did an apron sink, which I LOVE. ( I have wanted one of those forever! . The faucet, pot filler , cabinet knobs and pulls are all done in an oil rubbed bronze finish. I love that look...they are a dark chocolate color. We did granite for the counter tops, and they have an " ogee " edge on them. We also did the laundry room/pantry area too. Now it has all matching cabinets, and we added a pocket door. We even had a custom cat area done!! it's wonderful....a special place for our kitty to have her liter box and food/water bowls. I am soooooo happy!!! It was completed just a day before x-mas eve! It still feels like a dream :
UPDATE: you asked .....the light above the island is Golden Lighting 8606-10 RBZ , Multi Light Pendant, Rubbed Bronze . The paint color is Olympic, Sauteed Mushroom, the granite is called Giallo Ornamental. ( we selected slabs with a little more movement .
ALSO....you few of you have asked about the unfinished things. Please remember, we worked till 11 pm on dec. 23rd! This was as far as we got. The base boards and paint in the pantry will be done this week. I will also be adding some personal touches, and a bit of color. We also have a wall that I have not shown pics of yet ( its opposite the oven/bar wall I will be making that a family wall ( calendar, pics, kids schedule, etc. I am going to add a " menu for the day " on there as well. I think it will be adorable when I am done. I am thinking of doing magnetic spice jars on that wall too....what do you all think? soooo much to think about, it can be stressful!! Plus, now that the kitchen is done, I have to think about what I will do in the family room, which is of the kitchen..its a very open floor plan. It needs to flow.
Happy Holidays!!!! :

We built our new kitchen in our traditional 1980's Marietta home from the walls out. New semi-custom black cabinets, hard wood floors, glass tile, a farm sink and Icestone counter tops were installed. The back splash is a pale green square glass tile that is offset from the row above (like bricks I found it on clearance at Floor and Decor for 1/2 the price of subway tile. It matched the recycled green wine bottles and oyster shells in the concrete countertops perfectly.

While our kitchen wasn't very old, only 6 years, it was very dark & monochromatic and we found it a bit depressing, especially with our sometimes cloudy/rainy Northwest days. We decided we'd like to brighten it up by going off-white. While we were at it and had the place torn up, we figured we'd make other changes to reflect our likes and personalities better and how we wanted to use the space. Unfortunately, budget was a major issue and even though we're skilled bargain shoppers, we got busy holding garage sales and Craig's listing what items we didn't need in the house, as well as what we wanted to change out in the kitchen anyway {like appliances} in order to raise the money. By doing most of the work ourselves, as well, I'm proud to say we came in under $3000 and we're so pleased with the light, airy space we've created in the heart of our home -- our kitchen.

We had a standard kitchen in our 5 year old house. We went with Durasupreme brand cabinets made of lyptus wood a chestnut finish and a charcoal glaze. The granite countertops are "carmel". The farm sink is a Kohler cast iron single bowl with a Kohler faucet. The stainless appliances are GE from their "Cafe" line. New floors are hardwood Millstone brand hickory butternut with a hand scraped finish. Wall color is Behr paint-Pumpkin Spice. Kudos to my wife & Lou from Kitchenland Las Vegas.

This project was designed and completed for a beautifull family in Los Angeles. This kitchen is my rendition of todays American Traditional kitchen. By using natural products such as the travertine floor wood countertop and painted white cabinetry I was able to project a feeling of permanence and style while still providing all of todays luxuries.

This open concept kitchen was the favorite hangout for our family. I decided to take the backsplash onto the wall of the pantry door to make the door fit in with the space.
