  • Modern and traditional are happy together!, Can you see why I want to spend all the time I can in this beautiful kitchen? The island is an incredible piece of granite called Verdi Fire. I love all the stainless appliances. Putting in two sinks was a great idea works well for entertaining., Kitchens Design

  • Candice Olson Inspired Kitchen, This contemporary kitchen was inspired by a Candice Olson design. There is a light and airy feel to this space because it opens up to the dining room but it also has 2 french doors that open up to a beautiful deck that adds living space outdoors. The wall colour is a Sarah Richardson colour by Para and the cabinets are Ikea. The two granite choices add interest to the space by complimenting the white and dark wood cabinets. This budget conscious kitchen is high on style even though it is low on cost. , Kitchens Design

  • Kitchen...finally finished!, This is a re-post of my kitchen with all the crown molding done. My very talented husband installed all of it!
We were the GCs on our new home, built about 18 months ago. We did all the interior framing, the electrical, and all the finish work. It was crazy but so worth it!
Incidentally, I have tried deleting some of these photos since there are SOOO many but the system says they've been deleted and they're still there! Sorry, guys, not intentional. :-/, Kitchens Design

  • Urban Classic Style + Maxmizing Storage Space, We turned a small bedroom into our kitchen. Since it was on the small side we used as much vertical space as possible for storage and added an island to increase counterspace. We took out the left wall to create an open kitchen/dining area. (dining area not pictured here). , Kitchens Design

  • Kitchen & Nook, Kitchen opens to nook & living room. When we bought it the walls were the same color as the cabinetry so we revved it up with Ralph Lauren's Barn Red wall paint. I found some vintage shutters and painted them using the same color with some tobacco glaze over them to add a bit more color and give the space a little more personalized feel., Kitchens Design

  • Pottery Barn Style Open Shelving Kitchen- REPOST, Hubby built open shelving in our kitchen with a surround for the fridge. Beadboard accents and baskets give it a cottage feel. We spent about $500 on wood and materials. The lower cabinets are the same maple ones that were there before we simply painted the island (small sink) and the cabinets along the wall black. The center island is painted the same colour as the open shelving but with black granite tile counters. Got the look w/out the price!, Kitchens Design

  • Cottage kitchen, and all my favorite things...., 1950's costtage kitchen, we updated
all cabinets, we replaced all of the lower
cabinets, and changed all doors on the
uppers. Added the soap stone counters, and mable backsplash. I love to cook- Viking range. My husband
took an early retirement due to the
economy and has done most of the
work himself. New Marvin window, paint, and crown- we just need the floors., Kitchens Design

  • My "New-Old" Kitchen, My modest-sized kitchen is double the size it used to be. We took 4 teeny spaces and turned them into 1 bigger area. We used every inch we could. I love our pop-up ceiling over the island that houses a sun tube and 2 pendants. The subway tile backspash is from 2"x4" tiles. Counters are "coast green" granite - a fantastic neutral yet different than your typical biege or black. Not a fan of stainless appliances so went with the Heartland 36" range., Kitchens Design
