  • Bright and White, After many years of dreaming of a white kitchen, I finally have it. The oak cabinets were painted Sherwin Williams "Creamy", and cabinet hardware was updated with brushed nickel pulls and knobs. The white refrigerator clashed with my off-white cabinets and therefore, was replaced with a black KitchenAid french door refrigerator. The black appliances give the kitchen a nice cohesive balance, and add some contrast to the kitchen.

I'd like to hear suggestions for a back-splash. I'm thinking of subway tiles, in perhaps a cream color or glass multi-colored., Kitchens Design

  • REFINISH your floors!!!, We used to have natural stained red oak floors. We decided to finally to take the plunge and go dark after the floors have yellowed. They became a honey colored-orange blah color. We wanted to show you how great it looks. The purpose of this post is to show you the floors and not the decor. I haven't even put everything back yet. Tell us what you think!!!, Kitchens Design

  • Bye Bye 80's Oak kitchen, Our kitchen had 1988 dark oak cabinets that were falling apart, some kind of laminate flooring and 20 year old appliances. The previous owners put granite in but there was no saving this outdated space!!! My husband is a Craigs list addict and came across a cabinet guy that was selling off his floor displays and the rest is history! This was a total DIY project except for the granite installation., Kitchens Design

  • Kooky Kitchen Klutter, Renovated my bad 70's kitchen. NO more blue tile nightmare. Used the old cabinets as budget would not allow new. New kitchen may not be some folks taste, but I like a funky eclectic jumble. I painted the floors gloss black, the existing floors were mismatched with the rest of the house. House is 80 years old in New York City suburbs in New Jersey., Kitchens Design
