Kitchens

  • Classic Meets Contemporary Kitchen, This kitchen is a new addition to an older 1930's home, therefore an attempt was made to mesh new and old styles, using an eclectic combination of materials such as a coffered ceiling, hardwood floors, marble subway backsplash, granite countertops and shaker style cabinets in painted and stained finishes. More modern touches included a raised crackle glass bar on the island, unique pendant lights above island, and several aluminum cabinet doors with glass inserts., Kitchens Design

  • Modern / Industrial Kitchen Remodel, We started by painting the walls. After 3 attempts at trying to find the right color we finally settled on Benjamin Moore-Kingsport Gray. We moved on to painting the cabinets black and changing out the hardware with pulls we bought from Ebay Store "Hinges and More". We retrofit the kitchen sink cabinet to fit a new farmhouse sink. We added under cabinet and overhead lighting. We hired a fabricator to install the Giallo Beach granite we picked out for the countertop and the Bedrosian Ice Crackle MGICG2 Mosaic Glass tile backsplash. I ordered the island/table from the IKEA - Udden Console. By removing the backsplash on the console I was able to repurpose, what is meant to be a cabinet base, for additional workspace and seating., Kitchens Design

  • Warm and Inviting Kitchen, Our kitchen used to be a cold, white, laminated builders version. We turned it into a warm inviting space with maple cabinets, granite countertops (Monet & Creme de Bourdeaux) and a european flair. It is also so much more practical. Entertaining guests is so much more enjoyable now. Thanks Howie!!!!, Kitchens Design

  • Naturally Beautiful Kitchen & Great Room, This is our GREAT ROOM! It includes our kitchen, family room and eating area. It is a cozy & warm place to be.
The stone on the floor is Arizona Flagstone- meant for the outdoors but we had it sealed so it's now nice and smooth to walk barefoot on. We painted the cabinets a color from Lowes called Bittersweet. The countertop is a mix of granite/marble and is named "Rainforest". The sink is copper. We tried to bring in as many natural elements as possible!, Kitchens Design

  • We finally finished our cozy kitchen, Very small 1980's kitchen - except for the countertops and new appliances we did all of the work ourselves. Painting and then glazing the cabinets took the most time. All done for under $9000. It's amazing what you can do without a big budget or a designer!, Kitchens Design

  • Going for an Updated Farmhouse Look, This room is another example of our love for antiques. I painted the cabinets black and added new hardware in attempt to create an updated farmhouse look. I tried to tie all the colors together in the accessories and signs by keeping black a consistant theme in my furniture. The old phone on the wall actually works. When I misplace the cordless it comes in handy but not comfortable to talk on for long. :) Thanks for looking., Kitchens Design

  • Classic Traditional Modern Kitchen with Black Cabinets, Our kitchen started out with pale green walls and the cheapest stock oak cabinetry you can buy. We added moulding to the tops of the cabinets and painted them black. We also added a beadboard backsplash and dark chocolate laminate wood floors. There is still plenty of work to do & stainless steel appliances to buy but here's where we are as of today! • Simply cool liquid!, A round everyday! Inspired by the arched windows, I put a round table in this sunny room to make this previous small den into a grand breakfast room. I love to repurpose rooms for the way we really live, and we often move tables into rooms that otherwise are not used. Also, if your looking for a fun and easy center piece, we filled a tall vase with water and filled with tiny crab apples or white pumpkins to add something interesting to look at. The water magnifies them. At the time we did not have a chandelier installed yet and because of lots of guest we we added tables in non dining rooms so we needed something for height to fill up the space above the table. , Kitchens Design

  • DIY Kitchen Remodel, We completely transformed our old builder grade kitchen by painting the oak cabinets(with rustoleum cabinet transformation kit) a rich chocolate color and adding crown molding. We replaced the countertops with granite, and added a new sink and faucet. We also put in a split face travertine mosaic tile backsplash as well as redid the flooring in a versaille pattern with ceramic tile. The only thing we contracted out was the granite., Kitchens Design
