This is our kitchen. When we moved in it was black and white and gray. Hence the white cabinets, gray floor tile and black/bluish-green marbley laminate counters. We went for more of a tuscan feel just to try to warm it up. My husband says a mini-remodel is at least 10 years off budget-wise but I like to plan ahead. :) I'm thinking of adding cabinets to the wall that currently houses our corner glassware cabinet and our little bistro set. We desperately need more storage - particularly pantry storage and small appliance storage. And then I'm pretty sure we need to take the island out completely. The area the island is in is just not big enough for an island. The passways are too tight for one person to get past another and when the dishwasher is open it practically scrapes across the island doors.... I will keep the bones of the kitchen though and probably the white cabinets... But I will want new flooring (many of the tiles are cracked), new conters, cabinets for the wall that currently doesn't have any..New lighting... Ideas are welcome...
