The kitchen prior to renovations was a Galley kitchen with a pass through to the formal dining room on one side and then had a breakfast nook on the other side. There was a wall between the breakfast nook and an indoor patio.
I decided to knockdown the wall between the breakfast nook and the indoor patio and then close up the pass through to the formal dining room. I then transformed the formal living room into an office and placed my dining room furniture where the breakfast nook used to be. The kitchen has a huge bar that you can sit at so there is no need for a breakfast nook anymore.
This created a giant living/dining/kitchen area.
