For a while, I was trying to figure out an alternative to tile for a kitchen backsplash. I would love to get a real deal in a form of, let's say, a cool glass mosaic tile, but not with the cabinets that we have right now. If down the road, we decide to stay in this house for several years, then I would want to get some nice custom cabinetry with a backsplash to go with it. But for now, I wouldn't want to spend money on the tile backsplash that will be ruined if we decide to change the cabinets.
Anyway, I thought that geometric stencil might actually do the trick.
So, here is the before and after kitchen backsplash. I used bronze stencil cream and dry brushing application method.
Btw, I did also paint the kitchen cabinets myself. Originally they were this horrible orange wood color that made them look extremely cheap.
