You might call this kitchen retro! Really, it is an outdated, striped kitchen with very old appliances. The looks of this kitchen isn't the only thing wrong with it! It might be original to the 1950's house!

Yikes, This is like the kitchen my grandmother thought was wonderful when she updated hers in the 40's......Give this poor family a new more functional, up to date kitchen.

I had a kitchen like this.....40 years ago!!! There isn't anything I see that I wouldn't get rid of. She needs a complete gut and startover. This would be a good kitchen for hgtv to makeover.

Is this out of the 60's or 70's. It's worse than the kitchen I grew up in. Lots of potential though!!! They need an update like now!!!!

Kitchen in home in Jefferson County, Kitchen needed updating as it was built in the 1970's. We had white laminate countertops and old white appliances. We first bought and installed new black appliances (except the refrigerator and we will do that next) but I then wanted a new granite countertop and new backsplash to go along with it. We put in new countertops, new Koler faucet,Italian glass backsplash, new cabinet fronts and new drawers for our kitchen. Picked out a lighter shade of paint and painted our cabinets this color and had a professsional painter paint and install our new kitchen cabinet door fronts and drawers.My husband installed lighting under our kitchen cabinets all around the kitchen. He also installed a new electrical box and ran a tv cable down one wall so that we could put a small flat screen tv in our kitchen on one of the countertops., Kitchens Design
