If you restain them I'd go w/a darker color, either cherry or mahogony. If you paint, then a dark redish brown (mostly brown color. The walls I'd paint either Modern Maize BHG504 or Spiced Pumkin BHG511 Dutch Boy paint at Wal-Mart. Then accessories w/ golds, yellows, rusts & warm greens. Good luck!

i would go with the darker tone of your crown and window moulding, and then maybe a venetian plaster on the walls in the lighter color ( it will also hide the paneling if you paint over that im sure you will have to primer first.
