When we first bought our house, the kitchen was 10 years old with no life to it. I had a vision that I turned into reality. I painted and glazed my old oak cabinets, added crown molding, hardware, new counters, flooring, back splash, appliances and under cabinet lighting. This kitchen went from drab to fab! It definitely lived up to its potential and it wasn't that expensive to do.

My husband thought I was crazy, when I told him I wanted to paint out cabinets.

I came across your re-model and absolutely LOVE it...through many hours of research, I found yours to be the one I want to emulate. My kitchen has the same kind of cabinets and I am in the process of sanding them, yet wasn't sure what to do until I came across your renovation. Looks so fantastic - we are in the same boat - trying to decide on a countertop color that matches our old cabinets without buying all new - if you could send the information on how you did that , oh it would be wonderful - also - is your countertop granite ?

Emmiedawn I did it lol thanks sooo much for giving me step by step directions they helped so much and my cabinets turned out so beautiful..I'll post a pic after I paint my walls. I tried painting my walls darker like mocchiato and it made my cab look yellow!! so I need to repaint uggg :/ lol but again thanks for motivating me!
