My first real attempt at decorating... it feels complete, but please chime in with ideas if you have any! I had red appliances from my wedding; the brown countertops and floors came with the house. I wouldn't normally try to mix browns with blacks and reds....

I love the pictures with the table and chairs! The red and black look fine with the browns. I have to agree though that I'd take down that white light fixture and paint the base of it black. You did a great job and I'm with you when it comes to finding great bargains that look like you splurged!

Great job! I love the curtains, you did an awesome job! I love the colors, being a red kitchen aid fanatic myself. Everything looks very clean and organized. Now just make it a little cozier/homey. Maybe add some coordinating towels on the oven handle, a big area rug under the table, a coordinating glass cutting board on the counter, etc. Again, really nice!

You done some nice things in this room, but I have a couple or three suggestions that I think will help bring it up a notch.

Firstly, can you take down the chandi and spray paint it black?

Secondly, I think some natural bamboo or other type of wood roman shade or roll ups would look better than the stark white blinds.

Thirdly, the candle holder in the center of the table is too tall and just not suitable for that table. What about a lower bowl with flowers or fruit?
