You have a stunning home. As far as your kitchen counters, you can get some good ideas by searching Google, using the Image feature on the Google page tab. Search kitchen counter decor and see all the kitchen pics that come up beautifully decorated. For starters you can get 3 blue and white ceramic pots and plant live herbs such as rosemary, oregano, etc. If you have a Homegoods, you can find great containers and kitchen stuff there for pastas, etc. You can do a pretty tray holding various bottles of infused olive oils. Find a beautiful bamboo cutting board and lean it against the backsplash...some come in natural free style type shapes too. Check Williams and Sonoma catalog pictures for ideas for countertop decor.

I love your space, it's warm and inviting. Just a suggestion, if you want to add something kitcheny you might try a lighted pot racks over your island, I'm in the process of looking for one for myself, there are so many to choose from and different styles, you Can even get one with a shelf for displaying your cookbooks.

I love your idea of having the sun room at the end of an open kitchen and dining area. I also like the yellow and blue color scheme. In time you will acquire the right accessories, so think carefully and go slowly to avoid a too-cluttered look.
