![Home Sweet Home: Kitchen, We spent 3 years building our home. Money was very tight; therefore, we installed salvaged cabinets [supplemented by a few big box pieces] and gave everything a coat of clean white paint. Many of the appliances were purchased at garage sales. Keep in mind that this is NOT our dream kitchen, but will do for now. , We combined salvaged cabinets and Big Box cabinets, painted them the same color and called it good for now. We went with formica instead of granite because this kitchen is temporary. We figure this is a good opportunity to "test drive" the kitchen layout.
