Help! I tore up my kitchen and now I don't know what to do!

Have you ever woke up one day and said, "I hate my kitchen!" Sure you have. That's what makes us so alike. The only difference between you and me is that that same morning I ripped everything down with NO PLAN. Now I don't know what to do. I want open shelving and I'm thinking about beadboard. Just so you know my home was built in in 1960. I tore the wall down to open the kitchen up to the very narrow and small living and dining room combo.

overhang towards the living/dining room and shorter towards the kitchen.
8. Buy some stools and there you have a nice bar space - for serving drinks or breakfast or whatever..
9. If there is a space on the remaining walls you may hang leftover cabinets - you may refinish them they do not look that bad...but as you removed a wall some of them have to go - simply it won't be enough wall space now but the whole space is open and will look nicer and more comfortable and convenient..

Hi "no plan" happygirlx2 :-

Perhaps the easiest and cheapest way to continue (without loosing any options for future upgrades is:
1. Move the stove next to the sink. I guess it will be some space between them.
2. Install range hood and the cupboards above it - it may need to make a duct in the wall for the rangehood (not sure how it was working before - where was its air outlet.
3. Move the lower cupboards displaced by the stove to its place.
4. Buy from Home Depot countertops - 5foot - $50-60...one for the sink - need to do cutout for it.
5. Another about 5' countertop would go over the cupboards where the stove used to be. Luckily - no cutout is needed here.
6. Build a raiser whre the former wall stood - just about up to where you cut out the studs (hope this wall was NOT load-bearing - just check and hust in case you may keep the end 2x4 or double ot triple therm and make them look like a nice column.
7. Add third countertop on top of the raiser - going w/ longer ovev
