1914 built home had loads of charm and character, but an ugly 70's kitchen did not fit. Gutted everything except the original built-in wall cabinet. I took out a pie-shaped half bath that included a yellow sink and mexican-restaurant looking tiles on the walls. I rebuilt the space with a picture window and breakfast nook- reusing old restaurants booths found in a Habitat Re-store, and making the table with an old sewing machine base topped with granite. All new cabinets, appliances, lighting, counters, etc. LOVE my new kitchen!
