We weren't sure if there were hardwood floors under the 50's linoleum, but we lucked out. The kitchen was taken down to the studs, and completed on a budget. Bought appliances through Ebay and Craigslist. Cabinets are custom. Honed granite and subway tiles. I hope you like the transformation.

Absolutely gorgeous! I will definitely check out craigslist and ebay for appliances. Did you try to find the same model in a store so you could see them in person? Or just look at the features in the listing and buy based on that? Also, I love the granite. Can you tell me what that granite is called? I have white cabinets and am planning to get gray granite. Thanks!

We also found hardwood floors under our vinyl, ceramic tile and THEN the hardwood floors. Ours were really a mess and had to have a few patch jobs. But the end result was amazing. Love, love your reno. Check out mine if you have a chance!
