Annette, of Ladue Missouri, wanted a classic timeless kitchen with dark walnut wood finishes and painted white wood cabinets, carrara marble and absolute black granite. To open the space, contractor John Shea knocked down a wall to combine the library with the kitchen. I collaborated between my client Annette and the John Shea team to create this inviting space. Annette and John and their four daughters, including triplets, enjoy family gatherings in the hearth room, literally in the middle of activity -- all first floor rooms have access to this space. From the hearth room, you can view the front door, the living and family rooms and kitchen.
