This is a galley kitchen that includes a dining and living space -- all wrapped in one. We have a 1,100-square-foot cottage so we tore down walls and renovated to gain as much space as we could. You know everyone lands in the kitchen, right? Well, no problem here! And there's enough seating for everyone in this open-concept space. p.s. Since some have asked, please let me add for others who also might like to know: the countertops are soapstone, the paint is from a vendor I do not recommend, so I prefer not to name the company unless you really-really want to know. Sherwin-Williams has some similar shades -- look at their blue-green paint cards. Oh, one of my favorite things are the pulls. They are $1 wood pulls from Home Depot. We had them painted black. (If you've ever priced pulls, you know this is a deal. I got the idea from English-style cottage kitchens; they always show off these big knobs. If you'd like to know anything else, I would be happy to share.... (I've tried to answer directly to some with questions but have yet figured out how to to that, so feel welcome to go to my blog and email me from there with yours.
