GORGEOUS IS ALL I CAN SAY! What a great idea with the rope lighting......we were thinking to do that as well in some of the rooms for that dramatic effect. Glad to know someone as brilliant as you thought the same way! Gives me hope here! hahaha10 stars for sure!

Thanks for your encouraging comments. The lighting under the cabinets and at the bottom of the island is rope lighting attached to pieces of wood using plastic clips that came with the rope lighting. The wood was then glued under the lip of the cabinets. The lights over the island were hand-custom made to match a lighting fixture over the dining table as well as a lamp.
