I would do a black shiny back splash. I love how it all turned out.

You have a very beautiful kitchen. Great job blending the soffit with paint and molding--you don't even notice it! Your pulls are also charming by the way--excellent choice. The changes that you made are fabulous & will stay in style for many years to come.

As far as a backsplash is concerned, either white or almond would look great. Go for a beveled or crackle finish 3" x 6" subway tile. The bevel or crackle finish would add just the right amount of class and sophistication that a plain subway tile will not give. Be sure to bring a cabinet with you when you make your selection so that you can be sure to match the white exactly if you choose that color.

i am so glad i have seen your remodel, I have the same oak cabinets with the dated curve in the top panels that I hate. I didn't even notice it in your picture. I love it. That granet countertop looks perfect with white. I am going to do mine like yours, thanks

White appliances just clashed with my off-white cabinets. I think white appliances look great with the right cabinets, they just didn't workout in this kitchen. Thanks for the comments. :

Thanks for the suggestions, I do plan on adding a backsplash and under-cabinet lighting. Prior to painting the cabinets my appliances didn't match. I had a black stove, microwave and dishwasher and the white refridgerator clashed with the cabinets because they are a off-white. All stainless steel was my preference, but unfortunately not in my budget.

I love the black appliances. White would of been off a shade most likely, and I have never liked stainless. Very nice.

I feel that black appliances were not a good choice. If you wanted a white kitchen, it might have been good to have bought stainless or white. I don't see the problem with white appliances. Either way, I know you are very please. Hopefully, you put task lights underneath the cabinets.
