It's free and easy.
This is the typical small galley kitchen with a good working triangle design. Over time we've painted the cabinets white, removing the interior panels and replacing them with fabric. We replaced the floor with honed marble, the countertops with butcher block from Ikea, added stainless steel appliances & a farm sink by Kohler. We reconfigured the cabinet above the refrigerator outfitting it to store wine. We also replaced the cabinet doors below the sink with a linen skirt to give it that cottage feel.We hung a pot rack under the skylight to make up for removing the original breakfast bar cabinet which was replaced with a decorative corner shelf.
We covered all wall space including back splashes with 4x8 beadboard sheets from Home Depot. We added a 3 piece profile crown moulding to top off our plain cabinetry as well as antique bronze hinges & knobs.
We found a concrete tabletop at the Crate & Barrel Outlet and had it cut to fit either side of our stove.
