About This Space

I have wanted to remodel my kitchen for several years and after 15 years need new appliances (stainless steel preferably, cabinets, countertops and backsplash. However I don't want to start anything until I know what I want to do with everything. One of my ideas is to knock down the wall behind the stove which backs to a mostly unused dining room. This dining room links into the front room. Again mostly unused since we spend most of the time in the family room/kitchen which is at the back of the house...help with any suggestions please!?!?

We knocked down a wall recently between our living room and kitchen. Put in a peninsula and have NEVER regretted it!! We love the way it changed the entire first floor of our house. Go ahead and knock that wall down. You can always put it back if you decide you don't like it. Post pictures when you are done. Can't wait to see the changes!

Do you use the back door in the kitchen to access the backyard or do you use the slider in the dining room instead? If you don't use the back door in the kitchen, then you could move your fridge there and install extra counter/cabinets where you currently have your fridge. That would be a quick fix to give you the space you need.
