1920's kitchen, with a 1930's Roper stove that was in the basement. I found the far wall of cabinets at an architectural salvage lot.

I LOVE what you have done! I am currently restoring a 1928 brick bungalow and I really wanted a period stove so it is good to see that you have one and it works well!

I'd give it 10 stars if I could for authenticity! I love that there are no toekicks. However, I think the function is a bit odd with the two counters being so far apart and no workspace around the stove.

This is beautiful love the stove.We also have an old cook stove in our kitchen.We did our kitchen over and added old cupboards in with the new cabinets my husband made.

Wowza! I LOVE your kitchen. I especially love that you kept the old cabinets while modernizing the lighting and cabinets. I'm just in the planning stages of a kitchen revamp and I'm debating keeping my old cabinets or not. My cabinets aren't as cool as yours, but I think I can fix them up a bit. I was looking for inspiration and you've provided the perfect amount. Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks for posting this. I LOVE this kitchen. I've been browsing the 'net, looking for kitchen cabinetry that looks authentic to 1920's and 30's kitchens. I've found quite a number that claim to emulate period kitchens, but so far haven't found any makers of new cabinetry that are true to the old styles. Question: How tall are your ceilings?

Hi, derekwendylogan. I purchased the lights from Rejuvenation, a wonderful company that manufactures historic light fixtures. The cabinets came from Architectural Antiques that is no longer open in Denver, but has a store in Minneapolis. The table and chairs were purchased at a local antique mall. The vendor found the table at an Iowa farmhouse.

I just love your kitchen. Someday I hope to have one looks jut like it. I would love to know more details. Please post where different items came from. Like the lights, cabinetry, table, seating. I look on this site often for ideas. Your will be in my save pile for sure. WONDERFUL!!!
