  • 600 dollar throw away house II, I bought this house for $600 dollars at a tax sale auction and set out to remodel and redo it with a very small amount of money! It has been redone with free, recycled, repurposed items with paint being the only major expense! I searched all over town and hit curb piles, had friends, neighbors and whoever I could talk into keeping a look out.. watch for discarded items. Soon, people began to bring me things they thought might look good in my house! No area was free from scrounging, including the city compost pile where people dumped amazing treasures!, Kitchens Design

  • Truly Ugly Kitchen Designed by Crazy Lady, Truly ugly kitchen. Everything is painted green - painted counters, painted sink, painted faucet. Designed by previous owner who must have been CRAZY. We've started renovations slowly. next step to rip out the island and redo the floor!
I stripped the paint from the whole kitchen. found a triple bowl sink on craigslist and cut my own subway tile backsplash. I finished the renovations the night before we sold it., Kitchens Design

  • $1100 Kitchen Floor job, Done better for less than $275., Got an estimate for this kitchen floor of $1100 and did it beautifully myself for less than $280. At $2.09/Sq.Ft. I went and got the new Allure floating floor system and did this in one Saturday with plenty of kid interruptions. Very easy, simple, 4 to 5 times more durable than vinyl, tough surface, very realistic look (people really can't tell not stone from looking), 20 year warranty, No floor preparations, and etc.. Even got compliments of good choice from several employees of Home Improvement store while taking this to register. The best flooring out there if you ask me!, Kitchens Design

  • Ugliest kitchen in Oklahoma, We moved in this house 2 years ago, the kitchen had shelfing paper for wall paper, I striped it and added a chair rail and painted. The neighbor gave us a table that I changed quite a bit. The floor is nasty and even clean looks like its filthy. I added the stone backsplash which I got on sale and really don't care for but it helped a little. I hate this kitchen, the dryer is in the garage and the washer is right in the middle of the kitchen, I hate that too... need I say more? It's pitiful, just pitiful., Kitchens Design

  • 113 year old home kitchen redo, Our old home needed a new kitchen. It took us a year since we were the contractors and designers. Most of the cabinets are from the old kitchen but were hand painted. Now I have a room off to this kitchen that needs help. I am stumped in what to do. All in all, it was a great experience. I would say, but not an expert that this style is a french style kitchen. , Kitchens Design

  • This could win an award for the ugliest kitchen, This is the 1968 pea green kitchen in the cabin we just bought. Wall and cabin bases are a very old yellowish pea green, the pictures just do not bring out the true ugly of this kitchen. We wnat to tear it out and start over maybe take out the long bar and put in an island with a cook top. Should we get rid of the hall closet that is coming into the space? What kind of wood and counter tops would give it a log cabin feel?, Kitchens Design

  • Bright Kitchen Redo for only $600!, We purchased our home in May 2010 and we hated the country blue kitchen. The wallpaper and countertops were so 80's...and the old oak cabinets were dark and dreary. We are so pleased with our kitchen space now! It took a lot of work, but the results are amazing., Kitchens Design

  • Kitchen Update - What I did with little money, I purchased a foreclosure built in the 70's. I had very little money to update but did a few things with very little money. I did all of the painting myself, got my flooring from Lumber Liquidators, my nice stove from Sears orginally was $2,400, I purchased for $1,400 (it was a closeout). The kitchen has a large pantry (not shown in pictures) allowed me to get away with not using wall cabinets for now. I plan to install wall cabinets (possibly) at a later date. Since the split level house has 3 living rooms, my plans are to turn the living room/dining area (15'x13') right off of the kitchen into a dining room., Kitchens Design
