This is our indoor patio garden room bringing outside inside. Tropical with indoor fountain birds and fish. This is also our media room. We have a video projector in the ceiling and a pull down screen above the large glass wall between the dining room and this room. This room has three glass walls and the fourth wall has double sliding glass into the outdoor patio.

My Style is romantic...I am thinking of doing slate blue walls then I would like to put a wall tattoo of a cherry blossom tree. Other colors I like for this room are cranberrys, greys, browns and silvers (maybe gold thoughts from any of you talented peeps out there would be greatly appreciated. I was most impressed with Boddler77's room and isabellaandmax rooms.

I'm only a student and I want to create and outdoor room in which I could enjoy and relax in. I had only a budget of $350 and I think I made it work with what little money I was able to spend! Let me know what you guys think or what I could have done differently. I'm a complete amateur at this stuff! I basically got almost everything at Ikea. I knew I wanted a white and clean space but with low maintenance. I didn't have a lot of money to spend on schrubbery or potted flowers. Plus, had I put more plants or flowers it would have over-complicated the space that would have conflicted with the simple furniture. I put curtains up to sort of make this outdoor patio seem like an indoor room when need be. Especially since the patio is in a condo building, it provides privacy!

Like many people in these times we are finding if difficult to afford our home on our own. We need to turn this unused area into livable/art studio space. We would like to go green and possibly use the pool to heat our home. We have a very limited budget. We have considered floating docks and would like a urban loft look. Any and all innovative ideas appreciated, even extreme alternatives!!!

We love living the So Cal lifestyle. We're outside a lot and when we're not outside, we're inside-out....check out our new family room and you'll see what I mean!

Our yard is a panda bear's paradise - several bamboo varieties and tons of green - weeds that is. We have more weeds than we can count - so many on the ground they actually look like grass and weeds so thick - they are like tree trunks. Our weeds are overgrowing our yard so bad, they have bulged out our fence betwen the neighbor's fence. We have a pond with no barrier which is unsafe for our kids and a slab of slate that is awkwardly placed in the middle of the yard - making no play space for our kids (ages 4 and 1. We have a 2nd floor deck that is not accessable to the yard and would love to be able to use that space. It is unkept and unloved because we can't access if from the yard.

This sun room was part of a garage/master bedroom addition to our 1920's house. The space behind the garage was designed as a workshop but we expanded the space to create a 20'x18" sunroom that you access from our family room. The sunroom adds a partial wall to our outdoor courtyard improving the privacy and look of that outdoor space. This room is still under construction. The windows and doors have been stained to match the rest of our house but no woodwork yet. The walls are painted a creamy yellow (N.E. Ohio isn't a sunny location. The floor tile matches the color of grout on the brick fireplace in the family room and so far shows no dust or dirt. Very easy maintenance. Also, the largest wall has hookup and drain for a sink and space for cabinetry. The fountain (anniversary gift to each other is indoor/outdoor. We had the space and since we have such a short season to enjoy the outdoors we assembled it inside the room. It has a beautiful sound and we are enjoying it. We would love feedback and any ideas you can share as far as decorating and what type/color of cabinetry to use. This room opens to a brick patio and walkway to the courtyard and also to the vegetable garden and path to the firepit. We spend a lot of time outside and will use the room for entertaining, gardening tasks, and growing plants. The house has a living, family and sitting room elsewhere so I didn't want another room full of furniture but a comfortable spot to sit and look out at the garden. I appreciate your feedback. Thank!

A seamless transition between the indoor wet bar and the outdoor living area with TV and spacious seating arangement is conveyed by the use of 24"x24" travertine flooring and large pocket doors which slide completely out of view. At the bar a 47" flatscreen tv hides behind a 2 way dielectric mirror.

The whole concept was to have a modern but wheelchair accessible universal design kitchen. My husband uses a wheelchair but we wanted to design a space that invisibly incorporated features that would make the space more functional for him while maintaining the overall design we both envisioned.
