Thank you for responding.I checked your other post and I see you have a real handle on arranging items. As for the clock being too small, you could keep it there and add a picture under it. Or maybe put the 2 barn pictures one on each side of the window. A collage of mirrors over the piano and across from the windows sounds very interesting. Or maybe even a grouping of family photos instead of just the one.You might consider a floor plant -real or one that looks real -to put on either side of the shelving unit. It would help to break up all the wood next to wood.I like the red chair but it doesn't show up very well against the red wall. If it were on the opposite wall with a colorful pillow it might fit it better.Have fun, and keep us posted.

Thanks for all the ideas! I am going to look into the floor length panels and do some rearranging this weekend. I am thinking that maybe a smaller chair with a more interesting fabric, might be just as satisfying for Otis. Also looking at the pictures, I think that I might need something larger where the clock currently is. Maybe that would be a good place for a beautiful mirror? Would it be weird to have two similar or same things hanging on both sides of the window? Or maybe on the wall behind the piano (once it is moved I could have a college of pictures or mirrors. I would like to to add more shine to the room, so maybe mirrors would do the trick.
The room has to have a new light, I hate the contractor one, so if anyone has any ideas for that, I woulo be grateful. Oh, and the reason that you cannot see the fourth wall is because there isn't one, it is completely open to the foyer. Thanks again!

I also feel that rearranging the furniture in this beautiful room will make a huge difference. It seems awkward to have the piano bench and desk chair so close to each other. I'd leave the desk where it is and reverse the shelves and piano. I agree with Socks without Partners that long draperies would dress up the room and that your chandelier choice is not the same style as the rest of the room.

This room has a cute multipurpose family feel. I would like to see more contrast in colors. The gorgeous woods would really pop with a cooler color on the walls. Your chandelier choice is beautiful, and the wall color in that picture might do the trick.Some full length curtains that sweep the floor would look amazing in the space. I like the patterns you chose. I would keep the chair, but find a fun patterned durable fabric for it. It's a must to keep as a snuggle spot for your dog. I would keep the barn print because I love it, but add a mirror (something worn and rustic somewhere else.

I would center the computer desk on the wall where the piano is and place the picture above the desk. I would then place one each of your two bookcases on each side of the computer desk. I like how you have the bookcases arranged and the books by color. I would place the piano on the wall where the bookcases are now, with another picture above the piano. I would then place your red chair and rocker, angled in like the rocker is now, on each side of the window, separated by a table with a lamp on it. Can the valance be shortened somewhat? I very much like your rug and the greens and reds. Not sure about the ceiling light shown, it doesn't really match the style of the room. Oh, and the cute dog, it's a keeper for sure!
