Definitely looks better. Maybe paint the garage door same color as house or one shade darker? Agree on the lamp post and lights, maybe paint the post black or charcoal. Since the door doesn't have side panels maybe add some or replace the door totally at some point to make it look wider. Could add door molding trim for now.

Thank you all for the nice comments. I am really happy with the look so far. Not sure how many of you have moved into a house you we're crazy about, but that was the situation we found ourselves in? With a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and money its starting to come together. CJS_216 I agree about the scale of the sconces. We replaced the 1984 style with this which i thought was a little nautical and cute, but they are smaller than i want. I couldn't find anything modern and large in our area. and I agree too on the lamp post. we haven;t changed that out yet, but are planning to this spring. Thanks again!

Looks soooo much better. Maybe some larger sconce-like lighting fixtures that project upward would add more pizazz and definition to your front door? Also something a little larger on the lamp post??
