I'm a creative person so I though coming up with ideas for the space would be no problem for me but I can't think of anything! One whole wall is dedicated to the fire place & covered with ugly brick. I've been told not to paint the fireplace because it will peel and that I should stain it. I would love to hear what you guys think I should do with my space!, Living Rooms Design

  • Makeover in progress!, This is my basement after a pipe burst. Everything is outdate and well...let's face it...ugly! Please excuse the mess because everything was scattered in a panic to get it out of the basement. We actually don't live like this! haha! It was kind of a blessing because insurance will pick up some of the tab now! I am currently working on creating a warm tuscan basement. It isn't nearly finished, but check back for updates on the remodel! I hope it turns out the way I want it to :), Basements Design

I love the look of white fireplaces with beautiful mantels but I don't want to paint it. Any ideas how to cover this thing up? Notice the small ledges where I have candles and the "planters" on the base on either side. I know the mantel is cluttered now but its so ugly anyways who cares?, Living Rooms Design
